In this role, Mary Beth is responsible for negotiations and planning of managed care operations; billing and accounts receivable management; conversions and new system start up; human resources; accounting and financial functions; marketing, expansion and business development; physician and midlevel compensation management; and oversight of various other operations within the group. Mary Beth’s role in the group began in 2000 when she began serving as LMG’s chief financial officer. Mary Beth has provided the leadership and expertise over the past 12 years to navigate the changes in healthcare and continue meeting the needs of patients and providers. In collaboration with former leadership, Ms. Tamasy has helped LMG achieve exceptional growth. In 2000, there were 13 practice pods and less than 50 physicians and midlevel providers total; today there are 54 practice pods (a 315% increase over the original 13 in 2000) and nearly 200 physician and midlevel providers. Ms. Tamasy’s dedication to the group is unparalleled. Continued commitment to patients, physicians and all of LMG’s employees are factors that combined with Mary Beth’s business acumen, have and will continue to foster LMG’s impressive growth.

Before her association with DMM, Mary Beth was in private practice for nine years providing audit and accounting services. While in private practice, Mary Beth also worked as an independent sub-contractor for the federal government, performing hundreds of audits of Medicare cost reports. Prior to establishing her private practice, Mary Beth was employed at Price Waterhouse as an audit manager and consultant and at Arthur Young & Company. While working for these international accounting firms, Mary Beth worked on a wide range of healthcare clients including: hospitals; home health agencies; medical practices and nursing home facilities.
